On Tuesday Tim met with an internal medicine doctor. We discovered last week that the enzyme levels in Tim's liver are high. The CT scan he had the previous week did not reveal any blockage or tumors so on Tuesday the doctor ran extensive blood tests in an attempt to locate the cause. Yesterday we got the results back. No viral hepatitis was found. The blood tests could not identify the cause. So, the doctor has scheduled Tim to have a liver biopsy on Monday. We are hoping this will give us some answers. The good news is that the levels are improving.
Tim cannot begin cancer treatment until we know that his liver is healthy enough to process the chemotherapy medicines. So, pray that the doctors can identify the cause quickly (and that it would be something very minor) and please pray that He would be able to start treatment soon.
