Thanks to all of you who have been praying for us as we awaited the results from the biopsy last week. We have not seen our Oncologist yet, but we have been told that the test came back positive (lymphoma) for the spot located within my left clavicle. We hope to have more information next week in regard to treatment options, grade, etc.
We rest in the truth that the God who spoke into existence the very first cell has sovereign control over all things (including these pesky dysfunctional cells within my blood and body). He is before us in everything. That gives us tremendous peace and a stubborn belief that God has good things for us in this situation.
Psalm 33 has been a great reminder to me that our trust is rightfully placed if it is in the Lord God Almighty. My doctors are awesome. I love these brilliant men and women who have offered me diagnosis, treatment and care. They are a blessing and have become friends. But they are not God. Oncology and Chemo Therapy and Radiology and Radiation Therapy are good. But they do not have our hope. By His mercy, we will reach out for His grace that allows us to fix our soul upon Him.
Our church family and friends have been resilient in prayer in these last two weeks. Lynnette and I have been carried along on your intercession, constant encouragement and love. Thanks for that gift and please stay steadfast in prayer with us.

Psalm 33:14-22
From His dwelling place He looks out
On all the inhabitants of the earth,
He who fashions the hearts of them all,
He who understands all their works.
The king is not saved by a mighty army;
A warrior is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a false hope for victory;
Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.
Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope for His lovingkindness,
To deliver their soul from death
And to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits for the LORD;
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.
Let Your lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us,
According as we have hoped in You.
